This painting symbolizes the dark aspects of the present human condition.

It is about the many forms of cruelty and suffering on this planet now. War, conflict and pain. Kindness and compassion being denied many people.
It speaks of the abuse and intake of harmful substances such as alcohol and drugs – causing a separation from your soul. It is about the suffering that we humans knowingly inflict on our planet through pollution and toxic chemicals.

It also speaks of the most personal experience of feeling trapped in feelings of guilt, loneliness and unforgiveness. A world in which darkness overpowers light, in a massacre of the angels.

All in all, this is a painting of the human refusal of love.
